festive Furry friends gather for Santa Photos
This holiday season, a charming scene unfolds as Santa takes his place on a folding chair, surrounded by a whimsical winter backdrop complete with wrapped gifts and a toy soldier quietly drumming away. The atmosphere is filled with excitement as pet owners adjust their furry companions’ costumes and hats to ensure they look festive.
Meet the Adorable Participants
The pets in attendance display an array of personalities. Milo, a 12-year-old Shih Tzu, remains calm in his stroller, only showing interest when his owner entices him with the words “chicken chicken.” Meanwhile, Lulu’s owner expresses her doubts about her dog’s readiness for the event since she hadn’t been groomed and felt overshadowed by other dressed-up dogs.
Darcy stands out in his Christmas coat adorned with an arrow pointing to the side that reads: “Dear Santa, They’re The Playful Ones!” ruby and Daisy arrive under the care of their walker; Ruby promptly makes her way to the treat counter while Daisy follows suit.security footage from early morning hours at 72nd Avenue Pet Market reveals countless dogs eagerly pulling their owners toward the entrance.
A Variety of Breeds Join In
Maxwell, a Brussels Griffon making his second visit to Santa this year, radiates enthusiasm. Mochi is an Eastern Akita who seems equally thrilled about meeting st. Nick. Winnie has just been adopted four weeks ago—what luck! Howie arrives comfortably nestled in a shoulder bag.
Candid Moments Captured
This event operates on a BYO camera basis; I was occasionally mistaken for staff and asked to take photos myself amidst the delightful chaos surrounding me. I noted down details like “A red velour Mrs. Claus outfit emblazoned with ‘Santa Baby’ on the back,” but I’m uncertain if that referred to Mia or another attendee altogether. Bert and Ernie were cozily intertwined in their stroller while enjoying complimentary treats—a reward well worth dressing up for!
Cats Join The Festivities Too!
I spotted three cats during my visit: Edie (a Calico), Rory (a long-haired black-and-white), and Freda (a Bengal). Despite being close together in tight quarters, all animals maintained composure even when noses nearly touched—holiday spirit prevailed among them!
A Memorable Experiance for All
Kannoli made her debut visit with Santa after previously attending Pet market’s Valentine photo shoot last February alongside her owner; Lizzie sported an adorable Christmas tree costume during this outing.
Loki returns for his third photo opportunity named after the Norse god of mischief—his name proves fitting as he once attempted to tug at santa’s beard! This fluffy white beard often becomes quite an adventure when excited pets leap onto Santa’s lap—it can lead to some amusing moments!
The Cutest Chihuahuas Arrive
A trio of chihuahuas dressed identically in matching red outfits made quite an entrance: Cocoa, Zabark, and one more whose name eludes me due to my handwriting! At ages 16 and 17 respectively these senior pups brought joy as they snuggled into laps for photos—their owner lifted Cocoa’s head gently while encouraging them both: “Keep your little chin up!”
The Event Winds Down
After two hours filled with laughter and joyfulness from both pets & humans alike,Santa took time out behind-the-scenes before returning again later on.The line continued moving steadily as customers browsed through toys along walls nearby.“I’ve visited here before,” one customer remarked while reaching over towards dog toys hanging above,“but never had such fun meeting Saint Nick!”
