“if you feel a bit chilly outside, itS likely too cold for your dog as well,” stated Kayla Robinson, a K-9 care shift lead at the facility.

“Make sure your dog is in a cozy area with proper shelter; check that their water bowl isn’t frozen and consider putting a sweater on them if needed,” Robinson advised.

“applying Vaseline on their paws can help prevent irritation from ice or salt exposure; always ensure any de-icing products used are safe for pets,” Robinson recommended.
