Tragic House Fire Claims Lives of Multiple Pets in Big Establish
A devastating fire erupted at a residence on Tarry Church Avenue in Big Establish shortly before 9 a.m. on Wednesday, resulting in the heartbreaking loss of numerous pets.
Drivers passing by reported seeing thick plumes of smoke billowing from the home, raising immediate concerns for those inside.
Fortunately, authorities confirmed that no humans were present during the incident; though, the tragedy deeply affected local animal lovers. Among the casualties were two huskies and several cats and kittens. One kitten was successfully rescued and transported to a veterinary clinic for care, while two other cats remain missing.
The cause of this unfortunate blaze is currently under examination as officials work to determine what led to this catastrophic event.

The scene was attended by multiple emergency response teams including the Moore County Sheriff’s Department, Moore County EMS, Robbins Fire department, Westmoore Fire Department, Biscoe Fire Department, and Moore County Public Safety personnel.
