“We are currently facing an animal welfare crisis ⁢across the nation, which is now ⁤impacting ⁣us here in Western​ New​ York—a situation we have not ‌encountered before,” remarked Julie ‍Starr from Buddy’s Second ‌Chance‌ Rescue. “Organizations like ours are shifting their ​focus from merely rescuing dogs from high-kill shelters down south to also addressing the needs of⁢ dogs right here in our community.”
