The recall was announced by viva Raw LLC, a company based in Charlotte, on Monday. According to a report from the U.S. Food and Drug Management (FDA),this recall affects items associated with two specific lot numbers.

The first lot number,21495,includes products marketed as Viva Ground Beef for Dogs and Viva Beef & Turkey for Puppies. The second lot number, 21975, encompasses items sold as Viva Ground Chicken for Dogs, viva Chunked chicken for Dogs, Viva Chicken for Cats, and Viva Pure Chicken.
These raw pet food products were distributed nationwide directly to consumers between July 2 and August 21. They were also available at various retail locations in states including New York,Illinois,South Carolina,Florida,Kansas,California,and Arizona. The exact quantity of affected packages has not been disclosed.
