LAKE TAHOE,Calif. – As the fire season approaches, the Humane ⁢Society‌ of Truckee-Tahoe (HSTT) is calling on community members‌ to ⁢develop emergency plans for their pets in anticipation of potential wildfires.

“Wildfires can spread quickly, and evacuation notices may come with little notice,” stated Stephanie Nistler, ⁢executive director of HSTT. “Taking⁢ steps now ⁢to prepare‌ for your pets before⁢ an emergency occurs is one of the most critically important actions you can take.”
