Heroic Rescue in Hopkinsville: Firefighters Save Pets from Blaze
Hopkinsville, Kentucky (WZTV) — The Hopkinsville Fire Rescue team responded to an emergency call regarding a fire at the intersection of West Riverwood and Marietta Pressure shortly before 9 PM on friday evening.
A Rapid response to Flames
Upon approaching the scene, firefighters noticed flames visible from a distance and promptly requested additional support. When they arrived, they found a garage engulfed in flames.
Tackling the Inferno
The firefighting crew employed multiple strategies to combat the blaze effectively. A total of three fire trucks and twelve firefighters worked diligently on-site. Within just 35 minutes, they managed to bring the fire under control.
A Tragic Loss Amidst success
Fortunately,no human injuries were reported; however,five kittens tragically lost their lives due to the fire’s intensity. On a brighter note, firefighters successfully rescued two animals—a rabbit and one kitten—during their operation.
An Ongoing Inquiry
the hopkinsville Fire Department is currently investigating the cause of this unfortunate incident as part of their standard procedure following such emergencies.
