Tackling Pet Food Insecurity in Our Community
The challenge of food insecurity extends beyond humans; our pets are also affected when families struggle to put meals on the table.
In response to this pressing issue,the Mason District Animal Welfare Advisory Alliance has initiated a pet food pantry aimed at ensuring that vulnerable dogs and cats do not go hungry.
Strategic Locations for Pet Food Donations
This initiative, spearheaded by Mason Supervisor Andres Jimenez, has established several collection points for both wet and dry pet food across three key locations:
- Waggish Pack, a dog daycare facility located in Barcroft Plaza;
- The Columbia Pike Animal Clinic situated at 4205 Evergreen Lane;
- The Mason Government Center at 6507 columbia Pike.
