BRENTWOOD, California.A local veterinary clinic in Brentwood has reported a break-in where thieves made off with urns containing the ashes of deceased pets.
Sneak Thieves Caught on Camera
The central Boulevard Veterinary Clinic released surveillance footage showing the break-in that occurred early Saturday morning. The video reveals how intruders entered the facility and took away ashes that were meant to be returned to grieving families.
A manager at the clinic speculated that the burglars initially aimed to steal cash but, upon finding none, resorted to taking various items instead.
The Impact on Grieving Families
“The actions of these individuals will create an immeasurable burden for families who are already experiencing profound loss,” stated a representative from the clinic. “These ashes hold important emotional value, and we are eager to return them to those who loved these pets.”
The staff is appealing for anyone who may come across these urns or containers to reach out. “Our primary concern is reuniting these remains with thier rightful owners; we are not interested in recovering any other stolen items,” they emphasized. “No family should have to endure this level of distress again.”
