Lincoln Police Make Arrest Following Disturbing Incident
Authorities in Lincoln have apprehended a suspect after a harrowing experience for a local resident near the intersection of gregory and Judson Streets. According to Erika Thomas,the Public Information Manager for the Lincoln Police Department (LPD),an alarming situation unfolded around 6:15 PM on Sunday when a victim reported that an intruder entered her home wielding a knife and threatened her dogs.
The assailant later stole a bicycle and fled the scene. “While responding to the call, officers spotted an individual who matched the suspect’s description riding the stolen bicycle nearby,” thomas explained. “Despite commands to stop,he continued pedaling until he was finally apprehended just a few miles away.”
upon detaining 27-year-old Isiah King from Lincoln, officers discovered various drugs in his possession, including prescription medication that had been taken from the victim’s residence.Additionally, it became evident that this bicycle had been reported stolen from one of their neighbors.
Thomas further noted that King was also suspected of stealing an unlocked vehicle at Roper Park around 6 PM on Sunday evening.This vehicle was later recovered just miles from where he was arrested. After being evaluated for medical concerns at a local hospital, King was transported to Lancaster County Jail where he faces charges including burglary, resisting arrest, and possession of stolen property.
