The Animal Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Mission (ADREAM) is set to host its second annual “Bark-tober Fest” on Saturday, September 27. This exciting event will take place from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., with the primary goal of raising funds to support the institution’s efforts in aiding pets and their owners during emergencies.
“Our inaugural event last year was quite successful,” shared event organizer Rene Keith. “we gathered feedback from attendees on how we could enhance the experience, and we’ve implemented their suggestions this year. The maze has been expanded, we’ve added an obstacle course, and there will be various vendors present.”
This year’s festival will be held at 1814 Utility Side Road in Rocky Face and promises a variety of attractions for both children and their furry companions. Activities for dogs include a maze challenge, an obstacle course, and a costume contest. For kids, there will be a dedicated area featuring games such as pumpkin decorating and conventional outdoor activities.

The entry fee is waived with any donation made at the gate. Guests can also enjoy food stalls from multiple vendors while having professional fall-themed photos taken on-site for just $10 per print (5×7).
A registered nonprofit under section 501(c)(3), ADREAM operates out of Rocky Face.
The proceeds generated from this festival are crucial for supporting ADREAM’s community initiatives including disaster relief services and its pet food pantry program. Established in June 2011, ADREAM serves several counties across Georgia—Catoosa, Murray, Walker, whitfield—and extends its reach into Hamilton County in Tennessee.

The mission of ADREAM revolves around three core principles: educating the public about disaster preparedness; providing response services during large-scale emergencies; and maintaining a pet food pantry that assists low-income families as well as those affected by disasters who require help caring for their pets.Additionally, the organization advocates for responsible pet ownership while helping individuals comply with local regulations regarding animal care.
