
BAY VILLAGE, Ohio – Fire Incident on East oakland Road
On January 9th, emergency services were alerted to a structure fire. Witnesses reported seeing smoke billowing from the roof and expressed concern about a dog possibly trapped inside.
Responding officers quickly broke through the front window to gain access and successfully rescued two dogs. they administered CPR before transporting them to a veterinary clinic for further care. Tragically, another dog and a turtle were found deceased at the scene. Firefighters from Bay village along with teams from Rocky River, Westlake, and Lakewood worked diligently to extinguish the flames. Fortunately, no residents were present during this incident.

Suspicious Activity on Northfield Road

A homeowner reported an unusual disturbance around 1:30 AM on January 5th when her dog began barking aggressively and ran towards the garage door. Officers conducted an exterior check of the property and also an interior sweep but found no signs of suspicious activity.

The police received reports regarding a solicitor canvassing neighborhoods for Spectrum services on January 5th; however, they could not locate this individual. It is important for solicitors to possess valid permits issued by Bay Village authorities; residents are encouraged not to engage with unpermitted solicitors and report them instantly.

late evening on january 6th saw police responding to reports of a family dispute involving two brothers who clashed over household chores and video games. One brother agreed to leave for the night with relatives after resolving their disagreement peacefully.
Fraud Alert at Fairwin Drive
A resident reported receiving an email notification from her bank regarding a questionable check that had been cashed without her authorization on January 7th. She expressed concerns that someone may have intercepted her mail or engaged in identity theft.
