Hello everyone! I’m yuu., thrilled to meet you all! It’s truly an honor to perform my very first anime opening theme at just twenty years old! While recording this song, I envisioned Atami’s beautiful coastline along with its warm human connections that resonate throughout this narrative. I think about things that are beautiful yet transparent—elements that evolve over time while bearing marks that tell their stories. That’s what inspired me when creating “kirei.” This piece embodies deep human emotions at its core.

The first impression I had after reading the original manga was ms. Kinme’s unwavering dedication to her craft alongside her kindness—much like how sunlight filters through leaves during our daily lives’ changing seasons. “Wakaba no koro” encapsulates early summer feelings along with fleeting childhood moments—a unique chapter within life’s narrative that resonates deeply with me.
Katsutoshi Kitagawa’s Perspective (Producer of ED Theme Song ”Wakaba no Koro”)
Having grown up in Hakodate until high school graduation made me nostalgic about coastal living—like biking down to shorelines while enjoying an afternoon lost in a good book. My goal was to create music infused with memories reminiscent of seaside towns; I hope listeners feel both warmth from acoustic guitar melodies alongside gentle woodwind harmonies throughout our work together!
