A Film to Remember
Their latest project “Two folk Exchanging Saliva,” which they co-wrote and directed together premiered at the Telluride Film Festival in 2024. Produced by valentina Merli and violeta Kreimer thru their Paris-based production company Misia movies, this compelling narrative features Vicky Krieps as narrator alongside actors zar Amir (“Holy Spider”) and Luàna Bajrami (“Portrait of a Girl on Fire”).
This black-and-white film presents an intriguing dystopian world where kisses are met with capital punishment while slapping is commonplace within social interactions. Amir portrays Angine—a man trapped in an unhappy marriage—who becomes enamored with salesgirl Malaise (Bajrami), putting both their lives at risk due to societal norms.
