Teh Kane County Board has recently approved a generous contribution too the kane County Animal Control, thanks to the kindness of local artist Caroline Barnard. Caroline has gifted a stunning 16-by-20 acrylic artwork titled “Essential Companions”, featuring a cat, dog, and fish. This piece was not just an arbitrary donation; it was inspired by her two beloved adopted cats, Jack and Zelda, whom she brought into her home in 2017 after adopting them from Kane County Animal Control.

As a passionate advocate for pet adoption, Caroline aimed to share the joy and importance of rescuing animals with her community. She personally created this artwork and selected Kane County Animal Control as its new home. The facility plans to display the painting in the animal viewing area, were potential adopters can spend time interacting with animals to see if they have found their perfect match.
“I find it marvelous that this artwork is rooted in such a meaningful story,” remarked Brett Youngsteadt, Director of Kane County Animal Control. “The fact that it originated from our animals and our facility carries such an meaningful message; it’s truly remarkable.”
