Meet Tris and Eliza {Broward County Animal Care}
Find Your New Best Friend at Broward County animal Care
This week, two charming animals are eagerly awaiting their forever homes through Broward County Animal Care: Tris, a spirited Staffordshire Terrier, and Eliza, an self-reliant yet loving tabby cat.
Meet Tris: The Tenacious Terrier with a Heart of Gold
Tris (A2421298) is a 4-year-old american Staffordshire Terrier who has been residing at the shelter for six months after being found wandering in West Park last April. Despite her challenging beginnings, Tris remains affectionate and eager to connect with everyone she encounters.
The shelter staff describe her as an “easy walker” who enjoys leisurely strolls and thrives during Broward Animal Care’s popular doggie dates. however, the prolonged stay in the shelter has affected her well-being; she now exhibits signs of stress such as pacing and barking.
Tris is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and thanks to support from Leisa Wade, The Pet Realtor™, all adoption fees have been waived. She is ready to find the calm and loving surroundings she truly deserves.
Introducing Eliza: From Fear to Friendship
Eliza (A2429402), a brown tabby Domestic Shorthair aged 1 year and 4 months old, was rescued from an abandoned house in June. Initially timid due to her past experiences, she has blossomed into a amiable cat who now relishes gentle pets—and even enjoys treats!
A participant in the shelter’s Working Cat program designed for barns or warehouses where she can roam freely while providing natural pest control services; with time and care from potential adopters, Eliza could also thrive as a cherished indoor companion.
This lovely feline is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped; while her adoption fee has been waived—only requiring a $25 registration fee for new owners.
