FOND DU LAC, Wis.(WFRV) – Emergency services in Fond du Lac County reported that no individuals, including children and pets within the residence, suffered any injuries following an electrical fire on Monday evening.
According to a statement from the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office,responders were dispatched at 6:03 p.m.after a woman dialed 911 to report flames erupting from the roof of her home located on the N4800 block of County Highway V in Fond du Lac Township.
At the time of the incident, two children and a dog were present in the house with her; fortunately, they all managed to evacuate safely before firefighters arrived on scene.

Upon their arrival, officers observed smoke and flames emanating from the roof. Investigating further inside, they discovered an active fire in the attic caused by burning insulation materials.
The firefighting team quickly extinguished the blaze, effectively reducing both fire and smoke damage within the attic space as well as adjacent rooms.
The preliminary inquiry indicated that aging electrical wiring was responsible for igniting the fire. The homeowner mentioned that she noticed a light suddenly go out in one room followed by an acrid smell of burning electricity.
No injuries were reported among any occupants—including both children and their pet—and authorities are continuing their investigation into this incident.
