Moreno valley Resident Left in Limbo After Pet Cremation Service Closes
MORNO VALLEY, Calif.(KABC) — A resident of Moreno Valley is grappling with uncertainty following the closure of a local pet cremation business that was supposed to handle the remains of her beloved pit bull. The sudden shutdown has left her without any information regarding the whereabouts of her pet.
The Emotional Toll of Losing a Pet
“This is devastating because he was like my child,” expressed Ashley Talbot. “To think that he’s somewhere and I can’t retrieve him or bring him home for a proper farewell is incredibly painful.” talbot’s pit bull, Blue, was taken by Angel Paws Pet Cremation based in San Marcos over four weeks ago.
Lack of Communication from the Cremation Service
Despite numerous attempts to contact Angel Paws via email for updates on Blue’s status,Talbot has received no replies.Eyewitness News also reached out to the company but found their phone line disconnected.
Concerns About other Pets Affected
Talbot voiced concerns about other families who might be facing similar situations. ”I can’t imagine how many pets were taken along with Blue,” she said. “The owner must have several animals that are currently unaccounted for; he personally collected all these pets.” She questioned why there hasn’t been any communication from him regarding their status.
The Financial Burden and emotional Distress
The situation weighs heavily not just financially—having paid over $400 for cremation services—but also emotionally as she remains unaware of where Blue’s remains are located. “I understand this may be a difficult time for him,” Talbot remarked about the owner’s predicament, “but we deserve some clarity; we just want our pets back.”
