In addition to this exciting announcement, MaayaS highly anticipated compilation album titled M30 ~Your best~ has been scheduled for release. This marks her first major album launch in over a decade sence her last one came out fifteen years ago. The two-disc collection will feature both the fan-selected top 15 songs and an additional set of tracks chosen by fellow artists who have collaborated with Maaya throughout her career.Special edition copies will include a Blu-ray disc showcasing live performances of all top tracks along with a medley music video celebrating three decades of her work.

A Glimpse into Maaya Sakamoto’s Journey
Born in Tokyo, Japan , she embarked on her artistic journey as a child actress at just eight years old . Her debut single “Yakusoku wa Iranai” was released in1996 marking the beginning of an illustrious musical career . Following up with “You Can’t Gain Me” which topped Oricon charts in2011,she began collaborating extensively with numerous artists across genres . As releasing “Singer-Songwriter” in2013,she has also ventured into composing for other musicians.In2019,she launched her thirtieth single “Uchuu no Kioku,” produced by Ringo Sheena alongside tenth studio album Kyou Dake no Ongaku.In2020,she celebrated another milestone with25th anniversary compilation Single Series + Achikochi along with digital hit single “Yakudo,” which also reached number one on Oricon charts.
July2021 marked another achievement when she celebrated1000 broadcasts of radio show “Vitamin M,” which had been running successfully for twenty years entering its twenty-first year.In May20202,she released double tie-up single“Sumire/Kotoba ni Dekinai,” featuring compositions arranged by Shigeru Kishida.
To date ,she has released35 singles and eleven full-length albums.as both lyricist and composer not onyl does she write many popular hits but also contributes lyrics to other renowned artists including Kinki Kids’“Hikari no Kehai,” Mamoru Miyano’s“Toumei,”and Walküre’s“Kaze wa Yokoku Naku Fuku.”She even published a lyric book titled Shishu through Kadokawa publishing house.
Her performance as Jerusha earned recognition leading to winning38th Kazuo Kikuta Theater award while recent essay series Manpukuron – Asu ni Kaburitsuke published under Kadokawa gained attention too .
