NEW YORK CITY,‌ NY — ariana Madix, renowned for her role on “Vanderpump Rules” and as a television host, is collaborating with the ⁤American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty‍ to Animals (ASPCA) to launch a ⁣nationwide effort encouraging individuals to adopt pets from shelters during this critical time when many ⁢facilities are facing severe overcrowding.

The initiative is named The Rescue Effect and emphasizes that adopting just one pet can create meaningful positive changes by freeing up space and resources within ‌shelters for other animals in need.

Madix⁣ will ⁣actively promote ⁣this campaign ‌through her social media channels and those of the ASPCA until October. She is not only known for her television appearances but also for her ⁤Broadway stint in ‍“Chicago” and hosting duties on Peacock’s “Love Island USA.”

“When you visit a shelter, you’ll see‍ countless gorgeous‌ animals just waiting for their second chance,” said Madix ⁣in an official statement. “Choosing⁣ to adopt even one⁤ pet creates‌ a ripple effect—not ⁢just benefiting that animal but also giving others better chances of finding loving‌ homes.”

According to ⁣recent statistics from the ASPCA, nearly six million dogs and cats entered U.S. ⁣shelters last year alone. With⁢ limited resources available and many animals remaining longer before being adopted due⁤ to⁣ various challenges—medical or behavioral—shelters are striving hard to find homes for these pets.

A passionate advocate for animal rescue herself, Madix has adopted several pets over time; among them are Kitty—a senior ⁢cat she rescued in new York City—and Mya Moon—a pit bull mix she brought into her home during the ⁣pandemic.
