Gradual Adjustments for Your Pet’s New Routine
The back-to-school season influences more than just students, teachers, and parents; it also affects the daily lives of our beloved pets.
AnnMarie Chamberlain from Michigan Humane offers valuable insights to ensure a smooth transition for your furry companions as the school year begins.
According to AnnMarie, both dogs and cats flourish with consistent routines. She recommends making gradual adjustments to their schedules over several days, starting with mealtimes and walk times.
“It’s essential to provide them with extra affection and attention during this time since they will be spending more time alone,” AnnMarie noted.
An additional suggestion is considering a dog daycare or pet walking service if you anticipate being away from home frequently.
If you’re thinking about welcoming a new pet into your household,Michigan Humane has numerous animals looking for loving homes. One such pet is Jacques Clouseau.
“He was named after the Pink Panther due to his playful nature. At just six months old, he is an incredibly amiable pup who has never met a stranger. Everyone he encounters becomes his best friend; he’s truly a delightful companion,” AnnMarie shared.
