BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) – The Aggieland Humane Society has proudly announced that it has successfully completed its 30,000th spay and neuter procedure through its innovative mobile unit.
This notable achievement means that an impressive number of cats and dogs—both adult pets and young litters—will no longer contribute to the growing issue of pet overpopulation.
To put this into perspective, the total number of altered animals could fill every seat in Reed Arena more than twice!
Since launching in September 2017, the primary mission of Aggieland Humane’s mobile spay/neuter service has been to combat pet overpopulation while simultaneously addressing the pressing issue of pet homelessness.
This initiative not only helps control animal populations but also promotes healthier lives for pets and fosters a more responsible community. With ongoing efforts like these, local shelters can focus on finding homes for animals already in need rather than managing an influx of new arrivals.
