ST. PETERSBURG, florida – A man is now facing serious legal repercussions after authorities discovered three deceased pets in his residence and a fourth animal requiring urgent veterinary care.

The St. Petersburg Police Department reported that officers responded to a call on Saturday, July 5, at an apartment located in the vicinity of the 100 block of 44th Ave. NE.
The accused, Keith robertson, aged 55, confessed to police that three of his pets—a dog named Newman and two cats named Mama and strizzy—had been dead for approximately two weeks. Another cat named Wolfe was found alive but in dire need of medical assistance.
According to Robertson’s statement to law enforcement, he attributed the deaths of his pets to a flea infestation and expressed feelings of shame that prevented him from seeking help sooner.
