The beloved Doll & Pet Parade, organized‌ by the Certain Water Kiwanis club, made its joyful return to Eau Claire ‌on Saturday, August 31st, marking its 78th anniversary. This family-kind event welcomed children and their families—pets included—to join in the festive march, which was⁢ led by Bandit ‌the dog from ⁣the chippewa Valley.

while ⁢children aged 0-12 took center stage as the main attractions of the parade alongside their furry companions, everyone in the community was invited to participate in this delightful festivity. The parade route stretched from Owen Park’s tennis courts along the scenic Eau Claire River to the band shell. This year saw over ⁤100 young participants showcasing a variety of pets including dogs, cats, rabbits, a snake, two miniature horses, and even some adorable ducklings.

The Doll & Pet Parade serves as a fundraising initiative ⁤for the Certain Water Kiwanis Club, which actively supports numerous local nonprofits focused on youth-related programs. Past beneficiaries have included organizations such as Power of Thought, ECASD Clothes Closet, Women on the Journey, ⁤the Community Table among⁤ others.
